About the Role:
As a Safety Systems Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing safety management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and all relevant safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety management systems in compliance with ISO and other relevant standards
- Ensure all safety procedures, policies, and documentation are up to date and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor the effectiveness of safety systems.
- Coordinate training programs for staff on safety protocols and system usage.
- Track and report safety performance, incidents, and near misses.
- Facilitate the integration of safety management systems into daily operations across departments.
- Manage corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of safety-related issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure safety compliance and improvement.
- Lead safety system improvement initiatives based on audit findings, incident reports, and employee feedback.
- Support the preparation for external audits and ISO certification processes.
- Maintain records related to safety audits, inspections, training, and incident reports.
To Be Successful:
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management, or higher.
- Proven experience in a safety advisory role within the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach to safety management.
