About the Role:
  
As a Safety Systems Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing safety management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and all relevant safety regulations. 
  
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety management systems in compliance with ISO and other relevant standards 
  • Ensure all safety procedures, policies, and documentation are up to date and aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor the effectiveness of safety systems.
  • Coordinate training programs for staff on safety protocols and system usage.
  • Track and report safety performance, incidents, and near misses.
  • Facilitate the integration of safety management systems into daily operations across departments.
  • Manage corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of safety-related issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure safety compliance and improvement.
  • Lead safety system improvement initiatives based on audit findings, incident reports, and employee feedback.
  • Support the preparation for external audits and ISO certification processes.
  • Maintain records related to safety audits, inspections, training, and incident reports.
  
To Be Successful:
  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management, or higher.
  • Proven experience in a safety advisory role within the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach to safety management.
