Job Title: Civil Works Leading Hand

About the Client: My Client is committed to delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions across various projects, including small subdivisions, roadworks, and commercial developments. Their team is dedicated to excellence and is currently seeking a skilled Civil Works Supervisor to lead small crews across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crew Management: Oversee small teams in civil works, ensuring efficient operation and safety on site.
- Civil Drawings: Read and interpret civil drawings to guide project execution.
- Prestart and Toolbox Meetings: Conduct meetings to ensure team alignment and address safety and operational concerns.
- Roadworks: Manage equipment and labor for gravel placement, compaction, and truck deliveries.
- Earthworks: Organize and supervise cut-to-fill operations, including trucks for fill material and verifying heights and compaction.
- Stormwater Installation: Install stormwater systems, including pipes and pits, ensuring accurate heights and compliance with specifications. Proficiently use rotating grade lasers and pipe lasers for precise setting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the structures team to ensure seamless project integration and execution.
- Proven experience in civil works supervision, with a focus on roadworks, earthworks, and stormwater installation.
- Strong understanding of civil drawings and project requirements.
- Ability to lead and motivate small crews while maintaining a safety-first approach.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Experience with precast and in-situ concrete installation for stormwater pits.
