Role Overview
The Stock Controller will oversee the inventory management system, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and optimal stock levels. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor, track, and manage stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Perform regular stock counts and reconciliations to maintain accuracy.
- Minimize stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Supplier Coordination:
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and avoid production delays.
- Manage stock rotation and ensure compliance with FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Data and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP or stock management system.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports, highlighting trends and recommending improvements.
- Operational Support:
- Work closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to align stock levels with operational demands.
- Assist in audits and compliance checks related to inventory.
- Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all stock is stored in accordance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Support the implementation of quality assurance protocols related to inventory handling.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in inventory or stock control, preferably in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge:
- Familiarity with food safety standards, HACCP principles, and FIFO processes.
- Personal Attributes:
