Role Overview
 
The Stock Controller will oversee the inventory management system, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and optimal stock levels. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor, track, and manage stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
    • Perform regular stock counts and reconciliations to maintain accuracy.
    • Minimize stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Supplier Coordination:
    • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and avoid production delays.
    • Manage stock rotation and ensure compliance with FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
  • Data and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP or stock management system.
    • Generate and analyze inventory reports, highlighting trends and recommending improvements.
  • Operational Support:
    • Work closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to align stock levels with operational demands.
    • Assist in audits and compliance checks related to inventory.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
    • Ensure all stock is stored in accordance with food safety standards and regulations.
    • Support the implementation of quality assurance protocols related to inventory handling.
Key Requirements
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in inventory or stock control, preferably in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
    • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with food safety standards, HACCP principles, and FIFO processes.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
