Collaborating closely with the Managing Director, you’ll drive commercial strategies, lead contract negotiations, and shape the financial and operational success of projects across Australia. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead negotiations on critical contracts such as power purchase agreements (PPAs), connection agreements, and voluntary planning agreements
- Support the development team in managing commercial risks and ensuring project bankability throughout the lifecycle.
- Identify and pursue M&A opportunities that align with company growth objectives.
- Develop financial models for solar, wind, and battery storage projects, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to inform strategy and provide insights to senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Economics or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in commercial and investment management within the energy sector.
- Proven expertise in executing M&A transactions and structuring complex project finance deals.
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts, including PPAs and offtake agreements.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess risks and opportunities.
- Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging stakeholders such as investors and financial institutions.
