We’re looking for an experienced Principal Environmental Planner to join a leading consultancy and play a key role in delivering impactful environmental solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Identifying and pursuing new opportunities, developing client relationships, and positioning the business for long-term success
  • Leading environmental planning and approvals for major infrastructure, water / waste, and resource projects
  • Managing statutory approvals processes, environmental impact assessments, and compliance requirements
  • Writing high-quality reports, assessments, and management plans
  • Liaising with clients, government agencies, and key stakeholders
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning
  • Identifying business opportunities and contributing to strategic growth initiatives
  • Representing the company at industry events and professional forums
What We’re Looking For
  • 15+ years' experience in environmental planning or impact assessment
  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, planning, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation
  • Proven experience in business development, securing new projects, and growing client relationships
  • A track record of successfully managing statutory approvals and compliance processes
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, project management, and leadership skills
  • A passion for mentoring junior staff and contributing to a collaborative team culture
  • Confidence in representing the company in industry networks, presentations, and business negotiations
