We’re looking for an experienced Principal Environmental Planner to join a leading consultancy and play a key role in delivering impactful environmental solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Identifying and pursuing new opportunities, developing client relationships, and positioning the business for long-term success
- Leading environmental planning and approvals for major infrastructure, water / waste, and resource projects
- Managing statutory approvals processes, environmental impact assessments, and compliance requirements
- Writing high-quality reports, assessments, and management plans
- Liaising with clients, government agencies, and key stakeholders
- Mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning
- Identifying business opportunities and contributing to strategic growth initiatives
- Representing the company at industry events and professional forums
- 15+ years' experience in environmental planning or impact assessment
- Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, planning, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation
- Proven experience in business development, securing new projects, and growing client relationships
- A track record of successfully managing statutory approvals and compliance processes
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, project management, and leadership skills
- A passion for mentoring junior staff and contributing to a collaborative team culture
- Confidence in representing the company in industry networks, presentations, and business negotiations
