About the role
The Electrical Engineer (O&M) will provide support to the Engineering Team to oversee a portfolio of Renewable Energy Assets (Solar Farm and BESS) in the Australian portfolio. The Electrical Engineer (O&M) will work collaboratively within the dedicated team to deliver expectations under our asset management agreements, and manage a range of activities including but not limited to monthly reporting, contracts administration and support the operation team on site.
Responsibilities
- Ensure operation, asset upgrades and maintenance are carried out in a safe, high quality, efficient manner in the spirit of continuous improvement.
- Manage the Contractor’s Master Service Agreement
- Support the ongoing electrical/mechanical operational systems including balance of plan equipment, SCADA, IT and telecommunications
- Support and guide Plant Mangers /Site technicians to rectify operational issues.
- Investigating & responding to NSP/AEMO/GPS compliance issues
- Identify opportunities to increase asset profitability through new activities, improvement or upgraded assets
- Engineering background, or relevant industry experience
- Business level written and verbal skills
- Experience with contract management
- Problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience in the renewables sector advantageous
- Knowledge on SCADA &, networking and power generation
- Knowledge of power systems/ Elspec sapphire software
- Familiar with AEMO/ NSP operational requirements
- Based in Sydney
