About the Company

ACRWORLD are representing a global developer looking to expand within the Australian market with expertise in the development of large-scale renewable energy projects. With offices across most of Europe and APAC, this developer will have a key focus in the acquisition and execution of On-shore Wind, Solar PV, BESS and Hydrogen projects.

About the Role

You will play a vital role in the full range of development activities from early project inception through to commencement of construction. Activities would cover all aspects of development, including the identification of new development opportunities, securing land tenure, obtaining consents, community consultation and stakeholder management. You will come from a planning background (environmental, renewable energy, planning etc) and will be comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Identify and develop renewable energy projects consistent with company goals and objectives
  • Manage assigned planning and environmental compliance to agreed outcomes
  • Work with the existing team to assist with site identification and front end renewable energy development duties
  • Negotiate and secure property agreements with landowners to provide appropriate rights to develop, construct and operate renewable energy facilities
  • Project manage effectively and professionally all relevant development activities utilising internal and external resources to deliver quality projects
  • Support or lead effective and meaningful interactions with key project stakeholders at all stages of project lifecycle

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Degree in Planning, Environmental or other related disciplines 
  • Experience in a planning and environmental role with a focus on infrastructure development
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset & sharp communication skills
  • Significant renewable energy experience
  • Knowledge and experience in negotiating and securing land tenure desired, but not essential
  • Driver’s license required
  • Flexibility to travel interstate as required
  • Good project management skills with experience managing internal and external resources
  • Demonstrated understanding of planning and environmental requirements on large infrastructure projects
