- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all testing meets NATA and ISO17025 accreditation requirements, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance.
- Process Improvement: Identify ways to optimise workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, and enhance service delivery.
- Technical Oversight: Supervise testing procedures, reporting, and calibration of lab equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- 5+ years’ experience in a geotechnical laboratory setting, with leadership experience preferred.
- NATA signatory approvals (Level 5) highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of AS 1289 and AS 1141 test methods for soil and aggregate testing.
- Experience with QA/QC processes and laboratory accreditation requirements.
- A hands-on leadership style with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
- Current Driver’s Licence, Construction White Card, and Nuclear Density Meter Operator’s Licence.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
